A note, from us

After meeting in 2019, we didn’t really get to know each other until April 2020 during the COVID lockdown. Three months of online movie nights, virtual pub quizzes, and an endless stream of memes, we finally got to have our first "social distancing date!" Our dates then bounced between Chester and Manchester, and eventually, Sam asked me to be his girlfriend—via a meme. A sign of the times? Maybe, but it definitely made me laugh.

During the first year of our relationship, we spent all our time outside the house wearing face masks, sneaking down the M60 to spend our first Christmas with our family's (sorry Boris!), we moved from Sam's Manchester flat to our first house in Bollington, then moved to Chester to our second house 7 months later, where we (painfully) experienced the summer of '22 where temperatures peaked at 40C.

In 2022, Sam proposed, and the following year, we enjoyed holidays in Cornwall and Athens. We’ve spent a lot of time outdoors—paddle boarding, hiking, rock climbing, camping, and even swimming in the Welsh sea in October (yes, really!). And of course, Leo has been with us every step of the way.

Now, we're very excited to be embarking on this new chapter in our lives together, & we feel very lucky to be able to celebrate it with you all!
